WWE star Ronda Rousey has explicitly thrashed rumours that she will finish her wrestling career this year to start a family, roaring: 'Leave my vagina alone'.

Reports claimed 'Rowdy' was distressed with the toll her stunning 12 months in the business was taking on her private life - and that she would hang up her spandex after WrestleMania 35.

Rousey's debut in WWE was mindblowing as, since her debut at last year's Showcase of the Immortals, she has been undefeated in singles competition and remains the reigning RAW Women's Champion.

But rumours emerged claiming the 31-year-old former UFC star was thinking to call time on her career - despite having three years left on her contract.

'Rowdy' was thought to be growing frustrated with the travel burden associated with the lifestyle of a WWE star.

And she has also spoken of her plans to have a child with her UFC fighter boyfriend Travis Browne.

Rousey was expected to finish her WWE career by losing to Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch - or both - at WrestleMania 35 in April.

But ahead of her Royal Rumble clash with Sasha Banks on Sunday, she put and end to the speculations and said that no one had the right to speculate on plans for her reproductive organs.

She told ESPN: "I honestly don't know why [anyone] feels like [they're] an authority to speak on the plans for my uterus.

"If I responded every single time the world speculated what I was doing with my womb I would not have a free moment in the day.

"I really don't feel like I should have to respond to that kind of thing. It's my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself. Leave me and my reproductive organs alone."

Rousey admitted she had been thinking about starting a family, but she says these plans are not imminent as she is enjoying her WWE venture "more than she thought she would".

She added: "I've not kept it a secret that I would definitely want to start a family.

"But how do you go about doing that? I love this way more than I thought that I would. So do you just keep going until you just happen to get pregnant? Or should you stop and go try and get pregnant?

"Or is going and trying to get pregnant putting yourself on the spot and then you're less likely to get pregnant.

"I've never had a baby before, I don't know these kinds of things.

"It would be kind of cool to just keep acting and then one day, 'Hey, surprise twist, I'm pregnant.' That would be fun. "There's a lot of things up in the air. A lot of decisions that we've gotta make as a family. I'm trying to figure it out as I go along."

The Royal Rumble gets underway on Sunday, January 19 at midnight UK time.

It takes place at the Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
