THE drink driver, who grinned in her mugshot after killing a mum-of-three, wept in court after being sentenced to jail for 11 years.
Angenette Marie Missett, 45, sobbed as she was told she was getting locked up for 11 years in Ocala, Florida.
She begged for forgiveness from the family of 60-year-old Sandra Clarkson, who she killed on May 10, 2018, WESH-TV reported.
Missett said: “I am truly, truly sorry and if I could change spots with your mother I would in a heartbeat. I am sorry.
“I am sorry. I am truly, truly sorry.”
Ms Clarkson died after Missett rear-ended her while she was in the passenger seat of a sedan on the highway in Orlando just before noon.
Missett sparked outrage because of how she smiled in her mugshot.
Ms Clarkson’s family demanded Missett was given the maximum sentence after seeing it.
'SHE HAS NO REMORSE'
Keonna Sciacca, Ms Clakrson’s daughter, told the court in her victim impact statement: “I lost my only remaining parent because of the defendant’s selfish and conscious decision to drink and drive.”
Shiyanne Kroll, her 18-year-old daughter, told ClickOrlando just after the accident: “That disgusts me and that means she has no remorse for what she did at all and I hope that judge sees that picture and says the same thing.”
Ms Clarkson’s totalled car was towed to the courthouse on Thursday in a powerful statement for the sentencing hearing.
Missett pleaded no contested to manslaughter before Judge Steve Rogers gave her a sentence of 11 years.
The mum-of-one was arrested at the scene on US Highway 27 and a breathalyser indicated her BAC was 0.172, which is more than double the limit in Florida.
She told police she was distracted and dropped her phone causing the accident.
Ms Kroll, the driver of the Hyundai Elantra, walked away from the crash with minor injuries.
Ms Clarkson died in the hospital after undergoing several operations, leaving her left-side paralysed and brain dead, family members said.
Missett had only been married for a week when she slammed into Ms Kroll’s sedan, sandwiching it in between her Chevrolet Avalon and a tractor-trailer.
She was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with property damage and DUI with great bodily harm and posted bond soon after being taken to Marion County Jail.
Missett was later charged with manslaughter.

She also took a new mugshot photo eight days after the crash, showing a less enthusiastic expression.
Ms Sciacca said at the time of the crash that she hoped this tragedy would serve as a warning for others.
She said: “If we can get a couple people to stop and think and take a different approach to going out and partying so this doesn't happen to them or someone else's family, that's the good that came out of this.”
